This Privacy Policy explains how C7oneworld Solutions Private Limited, trading as C7 One World Consultancy ("C7", "we", "us" or "our"), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit our website, contact us, or use our counselling, admissions, visa, test-preparation and related services. By using our website or services you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
We are a study-abroad and education consultancy based in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. We help students choose destinations, universities and courses, prepare applications and visa documents, prepare for English-language and admission tests, and plan their move abroad.
Contact: C7oneworld Solutions Private Limited, No-59, Gaurang Mall, Opposite to VIT, Chennai Road, Brahmapuram, Katpadi, Vellore – 632014, Tamil Nadu, India. Email: contact@c7oneworld.com. Phone: +91 90254 52399.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Enquiry and contact details — your name, mobile number, email address, preferred country, course or test of interest, study level, budget, preferred mode of counselling and any message you write, when you fill in a form on our website, in a popup, on WhatsApp, by phone or in person.
- Application and service information — when you become a student with us: academic records, test scores, identity and passport details, financial and sponsorship documents, work history, statements of purpose, references and other documents needed for university admissions, scholarships, visas, education loans, accommodation or travel.
- Test-preparation accounts — the details you use to register for a course, and your progress within it.
- Event registrations — the details you provide when you register for a seminar, webinar or fair.
Information collected automatically
- How you reached us — the page you arrived on and, where present in the link you followed, campaign details such as UTM parameters or an advertising click identifier. These are stored with an enquiry so we know which of our pages and campaigns help students find us.
- Technical information — your IP address, browser type and device, recorded with form submissions to help us prevent spam and abuse.
- Cookies and browser storage — see section 7.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and to call, email or message you about it, including on WhatsApp where you have agreed to this.
- To provide counselling and our services: shortlisting universities and courses, preparing and submitting applications, visa and scholarship support, education-loan assistance, pre-departure and post-landing support, and test preparation.
- To send you confirmations, updates and information you have asked for.
- To improve our website, services and communication, and to understand which of our pages and campaigns are useful.
- To keep our website secure, prevent fraud and spam, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We process your information on the basis of your consent, to take steps you have asked for before entering into a service with us, to perform that service, and to comply with the law. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time (see section 9).
4. WhatsApp and phone contact
Our website offers a WhatsApp button, and after you send a form it may open WhatsApp with a message containing the details you have just entered. That message is sent only if you choose to send it. Conversations on WhatsApp are also governed by WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy. If you tick the consent box on our forms, we may contact you by phone or WhatsApp about your enquiry.
5. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where it is needed to provide the services you have asked for, or where the law requires it:
- Universities, colleges and education providers you apply to, and their authorised representatives.
- Embassies, visa application centres and government authorities for visa and immigration applications.
- Test providers and test-preparation platforms, lenders and loan partners, accommodation, travel, forex and insurance providers — only when you ask us to arrange that service.
- Service providers who support our business — such as website hosting, email delivery and communication tools — who may only use the information to provide their service to us.
- Authorities where we are required to by law, or to protect our rights, our students or the public.
Some of these organisations are outside India. When your information is sent abroad for an application, it is sent because the application requires it, and it is then also subject to the laws of that country and the recipient's own policies.
6. How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry details for as long as they are needed to respond to you and follow up, and student records for as long as needed to deliver our services and to meet legal, accounting and regulatory requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
7. Cookies and browser storage
Our website uses a small number of cookies and browser-storage entries that are needed for it to work:
- A session cookie and a security (CSRF) token, so that forms can be sent securely.
- A cookie that remembers that you have closed or completed a popup, so it is not shown again for a while.
- Browser storage that remembers, for your visit, the page you arrived on, any campaign details in the link you followed, and the courses you have selected to compare; and that remembers when you have closed the announcement strip.
If we switch on website analytics or advertising measurement (such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager or the Meta Pixel), those services may set their own cookies to measure visits and the performance of our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the website will still work, although some conveniences may not.
8. How we protect your information
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including secure connections, access limited to authorised staff, password-protected systems and backups. No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to act promptly if a problem arises.
9. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct or update information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete information we no longer need, or withdraw a consent you have given;
- stop contacting you for marketing — you can also reply "STOP" or tell your counsellor at any time.
To make a request or raise a concern, contact us at contact@c7oneworld.com or +91 90254 52399. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. If you withdraw consent needed for an application that is in progress, we may not be able to continue that service.
10. Children
Many of our students are under 18. Where a student is a minor, we expect a parent or guardian to be involved and to consent to the student's information being shared with us and used for our services.
11. Links to other websites
Our website links to universities, government and other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please read their policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Please check this page occasionally.
13. Grievance officer and contact
If you have any question or complaint about how we handle your personal information, please contact our Grievance Officer at C7oneworld Solutions Private Limited, No-59, Gaurang Mall, Opposite to VIT, Chennai Road, Brahmapuram, Katpadi, Vellore – 632014, Tamil Nadu, India; email contact@c7oneworld.com; phone +91 90254 52399. We will acknowledge your complaint and work to resolve it promptly.
