PTE Core (Pearson Test of English Core) is a test of general English. It is for people who have to show everyday English skills for immigration, employment or training in an English-speaking country, and Canada in particular.

This is the Champion package for PTE Core, with access valid for 180 days.

Why it matters

The Canadian government (IRCC) has approved PTE Core for permanent residency and for certain work visa programmes. The test measures practical reading, writing, listening and speaking in everyday and workplace situations.

Reasons to take it

To apply for Canadian permanent residency through routes such as Express Entry.
